The CARSYS AVTOPODBOR app pairs over Bluetooth with the CARSYS AVTOPODBOR-M gauge — the only one in the range with a radio built in. The walk-around goes into the phone point by point and leaves as a finished PDF for the customer.

How it works
The gauge does not guess, it tells apart
The combined probe works out the metal under the coating on its own and measures steel and aluminium with the same accuracy. The gauges meant for body inspection carry zinc and filler detectors on top of that — exactly where no-name gauges get it wrong.

Factory galvanising can’t be faked with a repaint — it’s either there or it isn’t. The gauge lets you compare neighbouring panels: one bare panel among galvanised ones. Matching paint thickness alone doesn’t mean "original panel".

What does a thickness gauge show, and why would I need one?
The thickness of the paint coating in microns. A factory finish usually falls between 80 and 150 µm, a resprayed panel is noticeably thicker, and a filler repair runs past a thousand. Those numbers reveal repainted panels and hidden bodywork in a single walk-around — nothing taken apart, no lift needed.
How is a CARSYS different from a twenty-dollar gauge?

Start from the job, not from the model name. The AVTOPODBOR is built for inspecting cars before purchase: an adjustable detector threshold, a turbo mode for a quick walk-around and a torch with UV. If you need reports and a measurement history on your phone, take the AVTOPODBOR-M with Bluetooth. For work beyond car bodies, the DPM-816 PRO. For a figure that goes into a formal document, the industrial DPM-816 with verification.
What surfaces does it measure on?
Steel, cast iron, aluminium and galvanised steel — the combined probe switches between methods by itself, so picking the wrong one is not possible. Gauges of this type do not work on plastic bumpers or fibreglass at all: there is no metal to measure the thickness from.
What is the warranty, and do I need state verification?
The term depends on the gauge: from one to three years, and on the AVTOPODBOR line a lifetime warranty with manufacturer service. Verification is only needed where a measurement carries legal weight: quality control, laboratories, expert appraisal. That is what the industrial DPM-816 is for — listed in the Russian State Register of Measuring Instruments, shipped with a data sheet, a verification mark and the procedure. Checking a car before you buy it needs none of that.
How do I avoid a counterfeit?
Buy from an official seller: our own store and the CARSYS brand pages on marketplaces. There the gauge comes with the manufacturer warranty, service and support. A popular instrument gets copied — a copy has quietly lowered accuracy and nobody to answer for it.
